If a person repeatedly asked for my help and companionship, and I responded with something like, “Yeah, you just keep asking, you festering puddle of dog vomit, because I made laws against things like you…and I’ll have you know I sent the person I love most to die for you, freak, and he was worth an infinite number of your sorry carcasses,” then there’s only a certain extent to which I could expect that person to keep coming back for more. And if after some time had gone by and that person was happy with someone new, they had reason to ask me if I were interested in renewing the relationship and I maintained only a stony silence…then I think they’d be justified in using my image as a dartboard, let alone putting it in a box, and it would probably be in the interest of their sanity to ignore me as strenuously as possible.
