Heather Clark’s War Dance

Heather I love praise dancing and we have started it at my church in Concord. Some dances is for someone but not for everyone, but the main thing is singers and praise dancers are not doing it for the people attending anyways they are doing it for the Lord. If people will just look at it this way then they will know. I have been able to minister to some praise dancers in the past and told them, dance for Jesus and you will find out that it gets no better than that. I love praise dancing and keep it up.

Thats a pretty cool dance! Although, Heather seemed a bit out of it, dont know?

Anyway, when I was in Israel, I was taught by some Messianic women some trad Jewish worship dance. It is truly beautifull – very hand maiden, praise oriented, gentle and feminine. Hard to describe. They dance together as well in a group, in accord.

How else is a modern dancer going to worship God but through her own distinctive dance? What is dance if it isn’t perhaps the ultimate form of self-expression? Don’t understand the fuss personally – perhaps they’d've preferred you to twirl genteelly in a crinoline skirt or do some standard charismatic pogo-ing By the way, Heather, you have a great voice – listened to you a few times on GodTV.

Just been pondering this again, having read the Rahab explanation of the dance. It struck me that Ezekiel did something similar – symbolic mime gestures,lying on his side, the ramp, the bread, the burning hair. There are plenty of things about Lakeland that really concerned me, but this specific example of Heather’s dance isn’t one of them.

Heather’s got a fabulous voice. I just downloaded the Lakeland II CD and am contemplating getting the rest of her stuff – however since money precedes stuff and money’s tight, it’s gotta wait.

Anita – Heather appeared “out of it” at several times during the revival. The first couple times I saw that “look” it concerned me, but then I noticed that it always preceded, or happened during, an extremely prophetic moment. I just took it as her “I’m paying rapt attention to what the Lord is saying now” look.

HEATHER – if you happen to pop back in over here – I am looking for a particular song. Megan (who responds to your orders@ email) thought it was on Lakeland II but it’s not. Is it recorded anywhere? The song is “Laid Down Lover”. Can you let me know? Thanks!!

Heather’s dance dosnt worry me at all. Actually I dance like that normally at parties LOL

Seriously though, I went to her site and like her take on things, she seems very balanced and also gracious toward ther buddy Todd. Hasnt distanced herself from him – I like that!

Good point Rev. Truth is often realised in betrayal. How often do we here the term “I realised who my true friends are” when the rubber hits the pavement and there are only a few perhaps one standing with you!

hi Kathi – I realise this response is a little out of date – but re the “laid down lover’ or ‘ more of you and less of me’ song – it can be found on Youtube among the various vids; I dowloaded it and turned the audio of that song into an mp3 – but like you I’d sure like to find it on Heathers site – it was NOT in either of the two Lakeland I & II CD’s. But it was such a powerful song – I couldn’t get a couple of the words and am still chasing them.
