It says -

“War is not the answer”
Gosh Wally – if only Al-Qaeda,
Hamas, Iran, and suicide bombers
COULD SEE YOUR LITTLE BUMPER STICKER

Well it’s a good thing we’re not at war with Iran, nor is Iran currently at war with anyone then. ;)

Philip – they’ve stated that they want to bomb Israel back to the stone age. Just give them a little time and they’ll spark off a world war.

I prefer the bumper sticker “Blessed are the peacemakers”

I’ve heard some good things about this blog. Remember to balance the pics with the text tho. cheers!

And I the one that says, “War feeds terrorism. Justice starves it.”

Yep I think Iran is preparing to attack Israel. Unless Israel pre-empt them, which has also been mooted. Currently pondering this in terms of End Times stuff and a pan-Islamic coalition with the aid of Russia. Last year Russia promised nuclear technology and military support to Iran.

There’s nothing in the news about Iran making plans to attack Israel. Quite the opposite, in fact; the president is up for re-election, and people apparently can’t stand him. He’s made a wreck of their economy, ticked off the rest of the world, and embarrassed them all with his comments about Israel.

My understanding is that election notwithstanding, his position in the government is largely as a figurehead, like the Canadian Governor General. And the people who really hold the power in Iran are looking for another candidate to put forward.

Basically what Cat said. An extreme radical who has had several attempts on his life by his own populace, who has failed to fulfill his election promises, is trying to make grandiose statements of wiping out what many consider to be their worst enemy. To attack Israel is to invite the death of his nation, and he knows it.

He reminds me a lot of certain American politicians, but that’s best left unsaid. This same man who speaks of bombing Israel into the stone age has been seen and photographed hugging Jews who agree with him. This same man who speaks of bombing Israel into the stone age, has been busy trying to keep Western “obscenity” from “corrupting” the minds of the Iranian youth.

All in all, Mahmoud is merely a mouthpiece; a glorified mayor of Tehran. He can say what he wants, but the councils of Mullahs, Imams, and Ayatollahs control the real power.

It’s true Ahmedinajad has less power than say Khamenei, but don’t forget Khamenei once called Israel ‘a cancerous tumour’ which should be removed from the region. Ahmedinajad’s up for re-elaction in Aug-09, but Khamenei will basically remain until he dies.

He’s still calling for a return of Israel to the Palestinian people on his personal website in a statement dated 01-Sep-09, although it’s very carefully worded. He’s praising the continued Palestinian uprising, praising Muhammad as the embodiment of valour on the battlefield, and calling the US accomplices to Israeli atrocities. He also blames Zionists for trying to bring back the Crusades, and the need to be vigilant.

If you penetrate the murky world of terrorist financing, you’ll find Iranian money financing the Palestinians (I work in antimoneylaundering so it’s a huge topic for me). I suspect Khamenei’s hoping to provoke Israel into a pre-emptive strike. Only last month the EU increased sanctions against Iran after it refused to stop uranium enrichment. France, the US and the UK are pushing for further sanctions, and typically Russia is blocking them.

Off with his head. the man is a terrorist. Now just having said that, think his attempted treats would be better planned for sure.
