Ken’s come down with a nasty sinus/head cold. I woke up this morning with throat scratchy and achy all over. So – praying that I don’t get it and doing all I can to boost my immunity.
I looked at the meager stores of herb teas I had in my cupboard, and settled on the following -
- Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil and remove from heat.
- Add
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 ginger tea bags
- 1 red clover tea bag
- Steep and remove items.
- Add 3-4 cups of cranberry juice.
- Heat to serving temperature.
Lots of vitamin C, helpful for coughs and body aches, and feels great on the throat (red clover is a very mild sedative).
It tastes vaguely reminscent of wassail.
