I’m going to the store as early as I can get there. Mother called yesterday, wanting to go, so I’m going to go ahead and take her and pick up a few things myself… including the fabric and ribbon and paint I need to finish the glory hoops! :D

Weigh In: 197.4 … woohoo!! Ken told me yesterday that he thought I was losing weight. I’ll be picking up a measuring tape too and will post measurements later. Since I started doing PT, I’ve been very stiff and sore. Instead of curling up, which would be my usual thing to do, I’ve taken to walking indoors in stores until I’m not as stiff. (It’s too cold to walk outside; under 50 degrees and I end up in pain if I’m out too long!)

Two major projects for the day:

#1 – I’m doing the redesign on this blog. Finally. I got sick of looking at the old one. I like the new one. There was a lot of outdated info on it (for instance, we’re not planting a church presently). Need to grab and resize some pix for the header. These are pretty, but they’re not mine!

#2 – Pastor Phil asked me to re-write the new member materials for him. I didn’t really re-write (because what he had was great!) I just added some laymen’s terms/covenant relationship stuff to it. So today I need to format those and print out some copies. I probably need to head to the store first… I *think* I have enough paper but I’d hate to be on copy #14 1/2 and run out! I need more anyway; I’ve been printing out a lot of stuff lately on prayer and revival.

So, there’s my day!

Well done :) My day involved watching out for an escaped feral kitten and some theology reading.

Just a small point – as I’m typing this, the lines are extending beyond the physical box and it’s not possible to scroll across to read them.

    The blog looks great, Kathi!

    My day was…exciting.

I had a communications meeting today, and we were all gung ho to start producing ads and having rallies–because though no one wanted to say it, there was a definite sense that we were in an endgame situation and one big push would do it–when the word came from the Bargaining Team that the university administration had called a forced ratification vote. I don’t know if you know unionspeak, but this means that we have to have a formal vote, conducted by the Ministry of Labour, on the university’s latest offer. Even though in an informal vote at a huge meeting the night before, 90% of the attendees rejected it.

So suddenly everyone was freaking and scrambling and running around. We piled into cars and headed over to the hotel where bargaining was being conducted, and put together the mailout we need to do tomorrow. I thought we’d be there all night, but we all got to go home around eleven.

It was kind of insane, but it actually felt pretty good. These are good people. And now we KNOW this is the endgame, because the employer can only do a forced rat vote once. If they win, then of course we go back to work, but I don’t think that’s likely to happen. If they lose…well, they lost last time, and had to actually bargain with us, and we reached a deal three days later.

I'm a laid-down lover of Jesus Christ. I write about my King and His Kingdom, the Bible, revival, healing, prophecy, faith, and more... plus I throw in recipes, tips, news and politics items, reviews, and all sorts of random things just for fun. Until recently, I was known as "Kathi"... but my name is now Kay. It's a good, God thing... :) The opinions expressed in this blog are mine and mine only - not necessarily shared by my husband, our church, my employers, or anyone else.
