“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

This is a strong warning, church – are you allowing the thief to steal from you? The opposite of empty deceit is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. That fullness of Christ is alive in you if you have been born again.

Are you living in the fullness of Christ? Are you living complete in Him? Man’s tradition says that God is no more powerful than man. The basic principle of the world says that we should do as little as possible. Philosophy requires great thought and haught.

Yes – it’s possible to go off the power-trip deep end. We have to stay in God’s will (which is to give life, to set people free, to heal them, to save them…) but this verse is much more a warning against dead religion than it is a warning against power trips.

Jesus is all-powerful… in Him is all power. Is He alive in you? Don’t be cheated!

I'm a laid-down lover of Jesus Christ. I write about my King and His Kingdom, the Bible, revival, healing, prophecy, faith, and more... plus I throw in recipes, tips, news and politics items, reviews, and all sorts of random things just for fun. Until recently, I was known as "Kathi"... but my name is now Kay. It's a good, God thing... :) The opinions expressed in this blog are mine and mine only - not necessarily shared by my husband, our church, my employers, or anyone else.
